In a traditional Bedouin village in southern Israel, a young woman's world is turned upside down when her husband marries a second wife, forcing Jalila and her daughter to confront the patriarchal rules that govern their lives. A powerful coming-of-age drama directed by debut filmmaker Elite Zexer, "Sand Storm" explores themes of identity, loyalty, and the struggle for self-discovery in a society that demands conformity.
