Chocolate Babies

The film "Chocolate Babies" follows a group of queer activists of color in New York City who take action against conservative politicians and government apathy towards the AIDS crisis in the 1990s. Characterized by their HIV-positive status, race, and gender identity, they protest cutting funding for people with AIDS, which they argue is racist due to its disproportionate impact on working-class people of color. The activists, including Jon Kit Lee as Sam and Dudley Findlay Jr. as Larva, engage in smearing an African American councilman with stage blood and other actions to fight back against homophobic politicians.
