In 1950s Ireland and New York, young Eilis Lacey has to choose between two men and two countries. A beautiful and moving film about a love story that draws you in, told so well that you care about the characters almost immediately. The film follows Eilis, a young Irish woman who migrates to Brooklyn in the early 1950s to find employment, building a life there, but ultimately drawn back to her home town of Enniscorthy and forced to choose where she wants to forge her future.
