Catana Starks, a former swim coach at Tennessee State University, is tasked with building the school's first golf team and finds only one available African American golfer, Craig, a talented but uncertain player. Despite facing resistance from her superiors and initial struggles with her players, Starks pushes outside her comfort zone to recruit underprivileged kids from around the world, eventually assembling a diverse team that begins to gel and achieve success.
