Moving On

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin star as Claire and Evelyn, two old friends reconnecting at their friend Joyce's funeral to exact revenge on Joyce's widower, Howard (Malcolm McDowell), who wrongfully harmed them decades ago. After a series of misadventures involving guns, romance, and a flare gun, they eventually succeed in confronting and thwarting Howard's plans. The film follows the complicated bond between Claire, Evelyn, and Howard, as well as Claire's reconnection with her ex-husband Ralph (Richard Roundtree).
