Go Joo-yeon (Kim Hye-soo), a self-centered star actress in her 40s, feels desperate to become a mother after realizing she's too old for menopause and facing a scandal that threatens her career. She decides to illegally adopt from pregnant teenager Kim Dan-ji (Kim Hyun-soo) while faking pregnancy to revive her career. However, as the media circus grows out of control, Joo-yeon must navigate the consequences of her actions and learn to put someone else's needs before her own.
