The Age of the Earth

In 1980, Brazilian filmmaker Glauber Rocha brought to life a powerful and provocative vision of Brazil's tumultuous late 1970s, inspired by Castro Alves' poem. Four men embodying Christ's image - a black man, a soldier, an Indian, and a guerrilla fighter - valiantly resist the oppressive forces of foreign exploitation and moral decay.
