In 2032, Shailene Woodley's character Elaine and Jack Whitehall's Character (Jack Whitehall) are wealthy suburbanites secretly using illegal android doubles of themselves to manage their lives. When they unwittingly use this scam on each other, their robot doubles fall in love and elope, forcing the duo to team up with Zach (Paul Rust), the engineer who created the androids, to hunt them down before the authorities discover their secret.
