During the early winter phase of the Korean War, a 48-man U.S. Army platoon embarks on a perilous mission to divert an enemy force and allow the command units time to regroup and prepare for a counterattack. Led by Corporal Denno, the platoon faces subzero temperatures, frostbite, and enemy fire as they attempt to complete their task and reach a critical bridge. As the chain of command collapses and casualties mount, Denno must assume leadership and rally his comrades in a desperate bid to survive and complete their mission.
