Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip follows Alvin, Simon, and Theodore as they embark on a series of misadventures after mistakenly believing Dave is planning to propose to his new girlfriend in New York City. Believing their homecoming will be ruined by Samantha's son Miles' bullying, the trio sets out to stop the proposal and save Dave from a life with Samantha. Along the way, they get into all sorts of chaos, including an emergency landing, bar fights, and a wild Mardi Gras parade performance, as they try to clear their names and bring Dave back into the fold.
