Among Giants

A manager hires Ray, off the books, to paint all the power towers in a 15-mile stretch of high-tension wires outside Sheffield. His crew is tight-knit, led by Pete Postlethwaite's lovable but down-on-his-luck Ray, who falls for an Australian backpacker named Gerry played by Rachel Griffiths. The two romance amidst a backdrop of economic struggles and the looming deadline to finish the job, with tensions rising between Ray's close friend Steve and his growing feelings for Gerry. As the summer wears on, their love is tested by the demands of the job, personal demons, and the lure of adventure.
