Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon

Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone) pretends to be a Nazi spy to aid scientist Dr. Franz Tobel (William Post Jr.) in escaping the Gestapo's trap in Switzerland. He and Holmes then fly to London, where Holmes protects him under his friend Dr. Watson's (Nigel Bruce) protection. The German spies' attempt to abduct Tobel is foiled by a passing London bobby. Tobel demonstrates the bombsight for Sir Reginald Bailey (Holmes Herbert), who observes from Bomber Command. Meanwhile, Holmes receives a call from Inspector Lestrade (Dennis Hoey) that Tobel has disappeared. A coded message inside an envelope from Moriarty reveals the secret code to break.
