"Hypnotic" is an American mystery action thriller that weaves a complex narrative of mind control, parent-child relationships, and moral ambiguity, as a detective becomes entangled in a case involving his missing daughter and a secret government program. The film's reality-bending crimes and hypnotic powers lead to a tangled web of illusions, making it difficult for the protagonist - and the audience - to distinguish what's real from what's constructed.
