"Robinson in Ruins" is a thought-provoking cinematic essay that expertly weaves together environmental concerns, surreal humour, and hidden histories to spark fresh perspectives on our world. Narrated by Vanessa Redgrave as the titular character's former lover, this beautifully photographed film takes us on a journey through the south of England, revealing surprising visions along the way. From the opium poppy fields of Oxfordshire to unexpected encounters with modern Britain, Robinson in Ruins challenges us to re-examine our surroundings and consider the world around us anew.
