In New York City's Tribeca neighborhood, restaurateur-bookmaker Louis Cropa (Danny Aiello) navigates a chaotic evening at his restaurant, where his son, star chef Udo (Edoardo Ballerini), is preparing innovative dishes that clash with traditional Italian cuisine, and their sous-chef Duncan (Kirk Acevedo) is struggling with a gambling debt to gangsters. As the night unfolds, Louis must balance the demands of food critic Jennifer Freely (Sandra Bernhard), a powerful art critic Fitzgerald (Mark Margolis), and his son's growing tensions.
