Rio

In this gripping 1939 American crime drama, French financier Paul Reynard is sentenced to a ten-year term in a South American penal colony for bank fraud. His wife Irene and loyal servant Dirk travel to Rio de Janeiro to arrange for his escape, but instead of freedom, Paul finds love with another man, Bill Gregory, while Irene moves on with her life. As Paul's obsession with revenge grows, he prepares to shoot Bill in cold blood, only to be thwarted by his own servant.
