You Hurt My Feelings

Beth (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is a successful memoirist and creative writing teacher in New York City whose marriage to therapist Don (Tobias Menzies) is suddenly upended when she overhears his honest reaction to her latest book. As Beth struggles to come to terms with the truth, she must confront her own feelings of inadequacy and the ways in which her controlling father's verbal abuse from her childhood has shaped her relationship with Don. Ultimately, the couple finds a way to reconcile and celebrate their love through honesty, forgiveness, and a newfound appreciation for each other.
