The Hottest Summer

In the scorching summer of 2023, Lucia and her friend Valentina are two young women living in a small town in Ragusa, Italy. Both active in their local parish, Lucia is particularly close to the maintenance of a villa where they hold summer activities with the local children and alpacas. The arrival of new deacon Nicola, who shares their passion for the villa and alpacas, sets off a chain reaction of events as Valentina becomes smitten with him, while Lucia tries to help her friend win his heart before she moves to Rome to study economics. As Lucia gets closer to Nicola, they share a forbidden love that is threatened by Nicola's desire to become a priest, leading to a complex web of relationships and secrets.
