Elis

The film "Elis" (2016) tells the story of the energetic and pulsating singer Elis Regina since her arrival in Rio de Janeiro at age 19 until her tragic and early death. Andréia Horta plays Elis Regina, while Gustavo Machado, Caco Ciocler, Lúcio Mauro Filho, Zécarlos Machado, and Isabel Wilker play other characters that were significant to Elis's life. Despite the difficulties she faced, success came fulminant and Elis gained national and international recognition as one of Brazil's greatest singers, becoming a legendary figure in her lifetime.
