In the heart of southern France, a charming post office manager, Philippe Abrams, lives a life that's anything but idyllic with his wife Julie, whose negativity makes every day a struggle. Desperate to please her and make her happy, Philippe is banished to the distant town of Bergues in northern France, where he discovers a community that defies its reputation as "the sticks." With the help of Antoine, a postman who becomes his unlikely friend, Philippe finds himself won over by the warm hospitality and quirky charm of Bergues.
