Day Zero

A former elite soldier, released from jail after serving time for serious assault, finds himself in a desperate fight for survival as the outside world has been overrun by a deadly virus that reanimates corpses into violent zombies. Chased by hordes of the undead, he must confront his own capacity for violence and learn to channel it into protecting those he loves, including his estranged family, as they become trapped in their apartment building. The film explores themes of fatherhood, masculinity, and the morality of violence in a post-apocalyptic world where the lines between good and evil are constantly blurred.
