The Miracle

In 1960s Turkey, a school teacher's life is upended when he's transferred to a remote Kurdish village in Eastern Turkey against his family's wishes. The villagers, initially wary of this outsider, are shocked to discover that their community lacks even the most basic modern conveniences - and not a single school to call their own. As the teacher sets out to build a new school and educate its children, he forms unlikely bonds with the villagers and a disabled man who challenges societal norms. The film is a poignant exploration of culture, tradition, and redemption in rural Turkey.
