Ajami

Ajami is a 2009 Palestinian Israeli Arab drama film directed by Scandar Copti and Yaron Shani, set in the Ajami neighborhood of Tel Aviv, Israel, where Arabs, Palestinians, Jews, and Christians live together in a tense atmosphere. The story follows five characters: Nasri, an Israeli Arab boy; Malek, an illegal Palestinian worker; Dando, an Israeli cop searching for his missing brother; Omar, an Israeli Arab struggling to save his family from extortionists, and Hadir, a Christian girl he courts; Binj, a local cook whose life becomes entangled in their struggles.
