What's Cooking in Paris

In "What's Cooking in Paris," Louis de Funès plays Monsieur Septime, a high-strung restaurant owner who finds himself at the center of intrigue when one of his famous guests disappears after a disastrous dinner. The police, led by Commissaire Divisionnaire Bernard Blier, initially suspect Septime of involvement, but eventually uncover a complex web of events that lead to the kidnapper's capture in the French Alps. When President Novalès (Folco Lulli) returns from his Latin American getaway, he gives credit for Septime's role in finding him, and the restaurant owner is once again put on display with a celebratory dinner, only this time, disaster strikes again when the flambéed dessert explodes.
