In 1990s Iceland, a young girl named Hera Karlsdóttir grapples with grief and identity after her older brother Baldur's death in a tragic accident nine years prior. As she struggles to come to terms with her loss, Hera finds solace in the intense sound of black metal music, which becomes an integral part of her existence. With her family's disapproval and bullying from the community, Hera must navigate her own path and confront the darkness within herself, ultimately discovering a way to heal and find happiness.
