Things We Lost in the Fire

Halle Berry stars as Audrey Burke, a recent widow who invites her husband's troubled best friend Jerry Sunborne to live with her and her two children after his tragic death in a heroic act. As Jerry struggles to remain drug-free and form bonds with the family, he helps them cope with their loss and confront their pain. Through their fragile and complicated relationship, Audrey begins to find solace in Jerry's presence, but ultimately demands that he leave when he relapses into addiction, leading to a dramatic turn of events.
