Set amongst the cut-throat world of a regional hairdressing contest, this drama follows the antics of some would-be competitors who gather for their annual jamboree only to find that one of their number has been killed, scalped in a shocking turn of events. As the story develops, tensions rise among the suspects as they wait to be questioned by the police, each with secrets and lies simmering beneath the surface. A uniquely stylish whodunit, Medusa Deluxe positions debut director/co-writer Thomas Hardiman as a talented filmmaker with exciting potential.
