Horatio Hornblower: Retribution

Ioan Gruffudd as Horatio Hornblower leads his crew in a daring night assault on a Spanish fort in Jamaica, which ends in the capture of the fort and its eventual surrender to the British. The court-martial that follows puts Hornblower's actions - and those of his fellow lieutenant, Nicholas Jones as Lt. Buckland - under scrutiny by Commodore Sir Edward Pellew (Robert Lindsay) and other tribunal members. A complex web of loyalty, duty, and survival is revealed through the events leading up to and following the battle, ultimately resulting in Hornblower's promotion to commander of a captured Spanish ship.
