The Prince and the Pauper

In 16th-century London, a good king falls ill, and his greedy captain, Pete, plunders and terrorizes the country in the king's name. Mickey Mouse and Goofy are mistaken for the prince and his dog Pluto by Captain Pete's soldiers when they try to retrieve a sausage stand from the carriage. The prince, who looks exactly like Mickey, convinces him to exchange clothes and roles with each other. As the "prince," Mickey navigates palace life and learns about the king's illness while Goofy and Pluto help him escape and eventually foil Pete's plan to install Mickey as a puppet ruler and have the real prince executed.
