In "The Desperado Trail" (1965), Pierre Brice plays Winnetou, a level-headed Apache leader who must navigate the treacherous landscape of greed and politics when unscrupulous businessmen frame him for murder. Rik Battaglia stars as Rollins, a renegade leader who seeks to incite war between Indians and settlers. Meanwhile, Lex Barker's Old Shatterhand tries to keep the peace, but ultimately falls victim to Rollins' treachery in a tragic confrontation that ends with Winnetou's fatal wounding.
