Enigma

In the 1982 spy thriller Enigma, American agent Bodley must infiltrate Soviet intelligence to stop a diabolical plot by five highly-trained KGB agents sent to assassinate Soviet dissidents on Christmas Day. To aid in this mission, he recruits East German defector Alex Holbeck, who is tasked with stealing an Enigma code scrambler from East Berlin. As the CIA agent navigates the complex web of espionage and deceit, his mission becomes complicated by a love triangle involving Holbeck's former lover Karen Reinhardt, which threatens to compromise the entire operation.
