20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

In this 1997 television film adaptation of Jules Verne's novel, Captain Nemo (Ben Cross) and his incredible submarine intercept a ship from which Professor Aronnax (Richard Crenna) and his daughter Sophie embark on a perilous journey to explore the underwater world. Joining them are sailor Ned Land (Paul Gross), tasked with catching a sea monster, but instead they become entangled in a complex web of love triangles and conflicts with Captain Nemo, who harbors a deep-seated desire for revenge against those responsible for his past misfortunes.
