Edge of Sanity

"Edge of Sanity" is a 1989 slasher film that darkly reimagines Robert Louis Stevenson's "Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" amidst the gruesome murder spree of Jack the Ripper in Victorian-era London. When respected physician Dr. Jekyll transforms into the monstrous Jack Hyde after experimenting with an anesthetic, he unleashes a cycle of lust and murder that seems to know no bounds. As his wife Elisabeth begins to suspect her husband's nocturnal activities, Hyde's true nature is revealed, leading to a descent into madness and terror.
