In this anti-communist film noir drama, Robert Rockwell plays Bill Jones, an ex-GI who becomes involved with the Communist Party USA after falling in love with one of his instructors, Nina Petrovka (Hannelore Axman). As they witness party leaders murder a member who questions their principles, they realize their mistake and try to leave the party, but are marked for murder and hunted by the party's assassins.
