A wealthy couple, Claus Müller-Todt (Oliver Masucci) and Evi Müller-Todt (Katja Riemann), place an ad for a housemaid, jokingly referencing "slaves", which attracts a multitude of applicants, including Bartos (Samuel Finzi). The film is based on Thor Kunkel's 2011 novel Subs.
