The Dorm

In 1984, Sverdlovsk, USSR, a group of young people navigate life in a student dorm, sharing their joys and griefs. A horrible accident commits a female student to suicide, drastically changing their lives. Characterized by its exploration of human passions, acts of bravery and cowardice, aspirations for virtue and failures, love, friendship, and betrayal, the film "Hostel" is an adaptation of Alexei Ivanov's novel A Hostel on Spilled Blood, directed by Roman Vasyanov and starring Irina Starshenbaum as Nelli Karavaeva.
