Holy Father

"Holy Father" is a documentary that follows filmmaker Andrei and his girlfriend Paula as they prepare to become parents, while Andrei grapples with the influence of his father, a monk on Mount Athos. The film explores themes of family, parenthood, and identity through the lens of this personal journey. Character Iulia-Paula Niculescu (Paula) brings her own perspective to the story as she navigates her role in becoming a mother.
