Arvéd

The film "Arvéd" (2022) is a psychological mystery drama that tells the story of Jiří "Arvéd" Smíchovský, played by Michal Kern, whose life and death are shrouded in secrecy. After collaborating with both the Nazis and the communist regime during World War II, Smíchovský's former acquaintance Štěpán Plaček (Saša Rašilov) uses him to convict inconvenient people, exchanging their freedom for rare occult books from confiscated libraries. As they engage in a game of cat and mouse, Smíchovský's fate hangs in the balance.
