A young soldier returns home from Vietnam, only to exhibit disturbing behavior that shatters the lives of his family and community. As he becomes increasingly unhinged, his transformation into a monstrous creature is revealed, leaving behind a trail of death and destruction. Based on W.W. Jacobs' short story "The Monkey's Paw," this 1974 horror film directed by Bob Clark tells a chilling tale of grief, guilt, and the devastating consequences of a homecoming that brings terror rather than joy.
