Electra Glide in Blue

In the 1973 satirical black comedy "Electra Glide in Blue," Robert Blake stars as Officer John Wintergreen, a motorcycle cop in Arizona who seeks promotion to the homicide squad. As he becomes embroiled in workplace politics and investigation into a group of hippies he is friendly with, Wintergreen must confront his illusions about himself and those around him. With a quirky tone and excellent cinematography, this film follows Wintergreen as he solves the mysterious murder of a hermit, only to face a tragic fate that brings him back full circle in the desert landscape where his career began.
