The New Boy

A 1940s Australian orphanage is home to a renegade nun, Sister Eileen, who runs a mission for Aboriginal children alongside her partner in assimilation, "Sister Mum", and George, an Aboriginal man with Christian beliefs. The monastery takes possession of a precious relic, a large carving of Christ on the cross, which brings a young, blonde Aboriginal lad to the orphanage after he appears out of nowhere and displays mysterious supernatural abilities.
