Newlyweds Nathalie (Cameron Diaz) and George (Harvey Keitel) spend their vacation at her family's remote island beach house in Maine. Meanwhile, Nathalie's ex-boyfriend Kent arrives unexpectedly, leading to a series of events that unfold when Nathalie discovers Kent dead on the sofa.
