In 1984, a nine-year-old Ethiopian Christian boy named Schlomo is forced to leave his mother in a Sudanese refugee camp and board a plane to Israel as part of Operation Moses, with instructions to "go, live, and become." As he navigates this new life, Schlomo faces racism, prejudice, and personal struggles that threaten to erase his Jewish identity. Despite experiencing heartbreak and trauma, Schlomo finds love and acceptance, but must confront the harsh realities of xenophobia and identity in a country where being Jewish is not solely defined by bloodline.
