Le Magnifique

In "Le Magnifique", Jean-Paul Belmondo plays François Merlin, a struggling writer of pulp espionage novels who imagines himself as an idealized superspy in his fantasies. Jacqueline Bisset plays Christine, his beautiful English roommate and the love interest he casts as Tatiana in his imagination, which also features Vittorio Caprioli as the pompous publisher turned villain, Colonel Karpov.
