Welcome to Germany

The Hartmann family is turned upside down when mother Angelika decides to take in the refugee Diallo, against her husband's will. Amidst the typical chaos of their lives, hope remains that the family finds its stability and peace again - just like the whole country. Senta Berger stars as Angelika Hartmann, who donates used clothes to a refugee center and adopts Diallo, a lone Nigerian in his 20s. As Diallo develops good relationships with each member of the family, including her husband Dr. Richard Hartmann (Heiner Lauterbach), their daughter Sofie (Palina Rojinski), and younger brother Philipp (Florian David Fitz), the family is forced to confront their own biases and prejudices.
