Escape

In 14th century Norway, 19-year-old Signe (Isabel Christine Andreasen) travels with her family through lands made dangerous by the lawlessness following the Black Death when her entire family is brutally killed by bandits led by Dagmar (Ingrid Bolsø Berdal). Signe soon finds herself taken prisoner and subjected to a terrible fate at the hands of the gang, but she discovers kindness from Frigg, another young girl who was also taken captive. With the help of the girls' resilience and resourcefulness, they escape their captors and embark on a journey to reclaim their lives and find better living conditions.
