A family intervention goes horribly awry within the snowy confines of an isolated lake house, where siblings Lyla and Ed stage a confrontation for their unstable brother Martin, played by Brian Morvant, a dishonorably discharged veteran who believes the military has experimented on him. As the situation spirals out of control, they begin to wonder if what they had dismissed as their brother's paranoid delusions may be true. Ed, a mental health professional, insists they take Martin back to the VA hospital, but when he attempts to stop his bleeding after a fatal confrontation with his siblings, Lyla panics and discovers a humanoid creature lurking in the basement - confirming that Martin had actually been telling the truth.
