A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints

"A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints" is a 2006 American drama film based on Dito Montiel's memoir of the same name. The film follows Dito (Robert Downey Jr.), a successful author who returns home to his childhood neighborhood in Queens, N.Y., to visit his ailing father and reminisce about his youth with friends Antonio (Channing Tatum), Giuseppe (Shia LaBeouf), Nerf, and Mike (Shia LaBeouf). Through non-linear storytelling, the film jumps between Dito's adulthood and flashbacks of his childhood memories.
