The film "Storytelling" (2001) tells two unrelated stories about dysfunction and personal turmoil set in college and high school. "Fiction" follows Vi, a graduate student who becomes involved with her creative writing class teacher, Mr. Scott, while dating an undergrad named Marcus. In "Non-Fiction," Toby Oxman documents the lives of a dysfunctional suburban New Jersey family, particularly their teenage son Scooby, as he struggles to come to terms with his own identity and ambitions.
