Race

In 1933, Jesse Owens (Stephan James) attends Ohio State University, becoming the first in his family to attend college. He faces racial discrimination from some white athletes but is urged by coach Larry Snyder (Jason Sudeikis) to pursue his athletic potential. As Owens struggles to support himself and his loved ones while training for the 1936 Olympics, he must also navigate the complexities of Nazi Germany's discriminatory policies and Adolf Hitler's vision of Aryan supremacy.
